Patisserie Breakfast at Luxe Lounge- Westin Hotel

Luxe Lounge is one of my go-to places for a long coffee break here in Qatar.  Hush ambiance, comfy seats, good food.  What’s not to like. Ambiance Both indoor and outdoor seats are composed of soft, cushy chairs so you can cross out comfort in your list. The outdoor seating is perfect for the weather these days. Surrounded by lush greenery, I sat for three hours in that area and enjoying my coffee and donuts. Like a police on a stake out. Food As it is a patisserie breakfast, don’t expect too much. They have different kinds of croissants, donuts, cookies and bread. That’s about it. Oh, and it includes refillable coffee and/or tea. Price QR 59 for the buffet with refillable coffee/tea. Returning? Definitely. Is it worth it? It depends on what you’re looking for, really. If you’re looking for a breakfast with the whole shebang then I would suggest a different restaurant for this. But if you eat light in the mornings and/or planning to busily type away on your laptop or read …

Cheap Eats: BreadTalk – 01 Mall Abu Hamour

Short Overall Review Located just beside the cinema area of the mall, this bakery and café is gives you a nice break from all those noisy and overcrowded coffeshops in the city. It offer both sweet and savory breads and cakes for a cheaper price than the usual. Although this is the 2nd BreadTalk (?) store here in Qatar, its interior is much better than it’s Salwa Rd. counterpart and more inviting for a sit-down eating.     Their breads and cakes variety may be small but what they lack in quantity, thay make up for the taste and quality.    I like that their cakes and not sickeningly sweet that you would usually get from cheap cakes.  Haven’t tasted their savory breads but I’m looking forward to it.     Price QR 15 pax (approx.) Returning? Definitely. Especially for their Tiger Rolls 🙂
